Do 30. września można nadsyłać propozycje wystąpień na konferencji międzynarodową Pamięć wieloraka: Muzea na ziemiach Rzeczpospolitej w epoce rozbiorów, która obędzie się w dniach 14-16 listopada 2019 roku w Toruniu.
Trzecia konferencja naukowa w ramach projektu badawczego Muzeum w polskiej kulturze pamięci (do 1918 r.) finansowanego z Narodowego Programu Rozwoju Humanistyki, stanowić będzie podsumowanie i publiczną prezentację jego rezultatów tak w tradycyjnej postaci publikacji i referatów, jak też cyfrowej, semantycznej bazy danych instytucji o charakterze muzealnym objętych naszymi badaniami. Przede wszystkim wszak będzie ona poświęcona różnorodności, jaka charakteryzowała ten obszar kultury – różnorodności form, jakie przybierały muzea, zbiorów i zakresów merytorycznych ich działalności, realizacji ich misji poprzez budowaną narrację, w końcu różnorodności samych misji, czyli celów, przesłań. Nasze badania, zebrany materiał źródłowy i jego analiza ujawniły wiele niedostrzeganych dotąd aspektów wczesnej historii polskiego muzealnictwa. Istotne są tu i konotacje łączone z samym terminem muzeum, i ilość placówek powstałych przed 1918 rokiem (blisko cztery setki czasem efemerycznych, ale czasem działających do dziś), i ich wpływ na kulturę artystyczną oraz intelektualną. Jednakże to właśnie różnorodność stanowiłaby cechę bardzo trafnie je charakteryzującą.

If you would like to send your application to ‘The International Scientific Conference Various Memory: museums in the lands of the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth, the era of the partitions’ will be held in Toruń 14-16 November 2019, you can still do that until 30th September.
The third scientific conference will, as part of research project the Museum in the Polish culture of memory (until 1918) financed by the National Program for Humanities Development, be a summary and public presentation of its results in the traditional form of publications and papers, as well as the digital, semantic database of institutions of museum character covered by our research. Above all, it will be devoted to the diversity that characterized this area of culture – the diversity of forms that the museums have taken, the collections and substantive scopes of their activities, the fulfillment of their mission through the narrative being built, and finally the missions themselves, i.e. goals and messages. Our research, the collected source material and its analysis revealed a number of previously overlooked aspects of the early history of Polish museology. What matters here are the connotations associated with the very term of the museum, and the number of institutions created before 1918 (nearly four hundred, ephemeral at times yet operating to this day), and their impact on artistic and intellectual culture. However, it is diversity that would characterize them rather accurately.
